About Dean Brody
Jaffray, B.C.- born, singer and current CCMA Fan’s Choice winner, Dean Brody has approached country-music-superstar status. He is now firmly cemented as an arena touring act, closing out 2017 by headlining one of the biggest and most iconic venues in Canada, The Budweiser Stage. Brody has an impressive list of accolades to his name, including receiving The Jeff Walker Global Country Artist of the Year Award, presented by the CMA in 2018, sixteen Canadian Country Music Awards and two Juno Awards. Most recently at the 2017
CCMA Awards he won the coveted Fan’s Choice Award, Songwriter of the Year and the Award for Top-Selling Single of the Year.
Brody’s ability to tell stories with genuine feeling and authenticity flowed through all the singles that followed, of which “Dirt Road Scholar” and “Undone,” went on to break the top five on Canadian radio. “Dirt Road Scholar” also hit number one on CMT, becoming the most spun song by a new Canadian country artist in 2009. With renewed energy and drive, he finished his second record and struck a deal with Open Road Recordings, with which he put out his next four albums: Trail in Life, Dirt and Crop Circles as well as his latest, Gypsy Road.
About Madeline Merlo
Hailing from Maple Ridge, BC, Madeline Merlo is a CCMA Award and two-time BCCMA Award winning artist, with five Top 15 singles under her belt. She is currently collaborating with some of the biggest names in country on new music, continuing to live up to Spotify’s prediction that she will be one of the biggest rising stars to watch.
Merlo co-wrote her latest single, “Unraveling,” a soulful, heartfelt ballad inspired by the weakness and honesty of heartbreak. The song comes following the success of the pop-meets-country success single, “Neon Love”, which was Merlo’s fifth Top 15 single.
After the initial success of her hit “Honey Jack,” Merlo opened for country royalty Keith Urban, and she has since toured with heavyweights Paul Brandt, and Dean Brody on his epic Beautiful Freakshow Tour, and recently returned from touring with Tim Hicks on his Get Loud tour.
Madeline Merlo has always had eclectic taste, and in her music you’ll hear the influence of classic country artists like Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline, R&B greats Etta James and Billie Holiday and modern superstars such as Miranda Lambert. Merlo is a champion of local artisans and is passionate about promoting new designers. Her free-spirited style is as unique as her sound.
