In the short time since its opening in 2009, the Westhaven Golf Club’s course has received national recognition for its design and attention to detail including being named to GolfWeek and Golf Digest 2010 Best New Courses lists. The 18-hole core golf course blends seamlessly with the surrounding hills and ridgelines of western Williamson County — its natural character as remarkable as the manicured fairways and greens.
2019 Westhaven Foundation College Scholarship Applications
The mission of The Westhaven Foundation is to act as a catalyst to promote a strong, caring, civic minded community, including young adults, through education, recognition, donations and fundraising activities. The mission of the Westhaven Foundation College Scholarship Committee is to identify local students who exemplify the spirit of community impact through voluntary efforts in activism, civic involvement and charity.
There are two $2,000 scholarships available for the 2019-2020 year. These will be awarded to two rising college freshmen demonstrating a high degree of volunteerism along with strong community involvement, and who are continuing their education at an accredited college or university, vocational or other post-secondary educational program.
This is not an academic scholarship. Instead, we place great emphasis on volunteerism, the inspiration of others, and community involvement. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.7 to demonstrate potential success in their educational programs. The Scholarships will be awarded without regard to means, race, religion, or gender. Scholarships recipients will be announced on April 3, 2019.
