Katie Britt isn’t surprised when she hears a customer in her Westhaven sweet shop say the words “exhausted parent.” They could be describing how they feel, but more likely they’re ordering one her specialty ice creams.
Exhausted Parent is one of the shop’s top-selling flavors, “very fitting for the Westhaven community,” said Britt, who owns Sweethaven.
The shop is one of more than 30 businesses and services located in the master-planned community’s bustling Town Center mixed-use district, which was among the first of its kind in a Williamson County neighborhood. Others have embraced the idea, including Burkitt Commons near Nolensville and Tollgate Village in Thompson’s Station.
Southern Land Co., Westhaven’s developer, recently celebrated the completion of the Town Center. The event included the naming of Magli Green, the community’s new lakefront park. Magli Green is open to the public and will be a venue for concerts, events and ongoing programming.
