Westhaven is Southern Land Company’s first master-planned community, and the beginning of the fulfillment of a dream for Tim Downey.
“I’ve always had a love for architecture and art,” said Downey, founder and CEO of Southern Land Company and creator of the Westhaven concept. “I used to visit communities around the country and figure out ways to duplicate great old houses and modernize them while maintaining their character.”
Recently Westhaven received a Silver medal in the Best In America Living Awards by the National Association of Home Builders, one of the building industry’s premier residential design award programs. BALA spotlights the most creative and talented building industry professionals, nationally and internationally, for their home and residential design excellence. Award levels include Platinum, Silver, Best in Region and Best of the Year.
