October 5th Event is Free and Open to the Public
Franklin, Tenn. — The Westhaven Community, in conjunction with Southern Land Company and The Westhaven Foundation, will host the 8th Annual Porchfest Event on October 5 from 2pm until 6 pm. Nissan of Cool Springs is also partnering with the community to serve as this year’s presenting sponsor. Porchfest is free and open to the public and will proceed rain or shine.
Porchfest consists of live music performances on Westhaven residents’ front porches. Attendees can walk and bike between the various home venues and enjoy multiple genres of music performed by local artists. This year performances will take place on 18 different porch stages and will feature more than 55 musicians. Attendees are encouraged to download the 2019 Westhaven Porchfest App through Apple and Android Stores for up-to-date information on performances, stages, and show times.
Seven Food trucks will be on site, including YaYo’s OMG, Funk Seoul Brother, and the Love Bus. Porchfest is also a kid-friendly event. There will be two locations for kids’ music and games: The Academy at Westhaven will be welcoming children in the neighborhood’s Founder’s Square and St. Matthew’s Church will be hosting younger audiences Back Stage at The Residents’ Club where three live bands will be performing kid favorites.
